Moose Monday - Moose Memorable Moment of My Latest Visit to Yellowstone National Park

No, it is not Wordless Wednesday (it's Moose Monday) but words could not describe my first moose sighting in Yellowstone National Park.   I had been to Yellowstone National Park 3 times last year but with no luck with regards to spotting my favorite wild animal.  I was hoping this would change on my most recent and first visit to the park in 2010 and it did just in the nick of time on day 2!

As I was planning to leave the park from the East entrance, I spotted not one, but two moose at Sylvan Lake.

Here is mama moose and baby moose and my moose memorable moment captured from a moosely interesting angle (the lenghts I would go to some times to capture the moose interesting photos).  Expect many more photos and more details about this moose story and of this two moose for the next few weeks on Mondays.  Where else?  On Moose Monday!!!

Marc,

Your moose vocabulary is expanding.  You will not be disappointed by paying regular visits on Moose Mondays.  :)

Now, how about getting you camera out there and coming up with a photo for your first 100% moose post for Moose Monday?  Eh!

Gerry, what a great picture. Many years ago we lived in Boston and periodically we would go to Main and New Hamphsire and we would see Moose from close up. They are ammazing animals, peacefull and large.

Endre,

Thank you for visiting this post and for the nice comment.  I am hoping I can get those living in Maine and New Hampshire or who recently visited these states to share a photo of a moose.  I have heard about moose stories from those parts of the country but I have yet to see a photo from a moose taken from there.

Michael,

The creating the category is the easy part.  Getting people to participate in this group is another thing.  Anything related to moose is allowed (not just photos of real moose).   I am going more for the a-moose-ing aspect of it when I created Moose Monday.  :)

Hi Gerry ~ Can't believe I missed this adorable duo.  What fun - nothing's better than a Mother Moose and Jr. photo!

They look moose adorable. Russel's reading over my shoulder. He wants to know if you've ever decided what the plural of moose is. He says it's meese.

Jim,

I thought I already answered but if I moose again answer that question, the plural of moose is moose.   Make no meesetake!   :)
