There's always someone who is thinking about getting their Real Estate License.

In Real Estate, the adage, Time is of the Essence, is frequently used, and even incorporated in the California Residential Purchase Agreement and Joint Escrow Instructions.

California Assembly Bill 2429, will be implemented October 1, 2007, changing the qualifying educational requirements for obtaining a Salesperson License.

Currently, a Conditional License can be issued to applicants who have completed a college-level Real Estate Principles course, with the stipulation of proof of completion of the two (2) required remaining courses within 18 months.

As of October 1, 2007, Salesperson examination applicants will be required to provide proof of completion of all three (3) of the required courses before they can be scheduled for an exam.

In addition to Real Estate Principles and Real Estate Practice, one (1) additional course from the following list must be completed:

Legal Aspects of Real Estate; Real Estate Office Administration; Real Estate Appraisal; Computer Applications in Real Estate; Real Estate Finance; Real Estate Economics; Property Management; Business Law; Escrows; Accounting; Mortgage Loan Brokering & Lending; Common Interest Developments.

Salesperson exam applications are good for two (2) years.  Exam applications that are received postmarked on or before October 1, 2007, will be able to take the exam within the two (2) year period.

Applicants who PASS the exam before October 1, 2007, will be eligible for a Conditional License.  Applicants who pass the exam on or after October 1, 2007, or whose license application is received after October 1, 2007, will have to submit proof of completion of all three (3) required courses before their four (4) year license will be issued.
