Things to Do in Champaign, Illinois: A Ten Week Series, Week 5- Curtis Orchard
As yesterday was their opening day of the season, it's only appropriate to highlight Curtis Orchard in this week's "things to do in Champaign" series!
For me, a trip to Curtis Orchard in southwest Champaign means stocking up on fresh fruit, apple cider, apple butter, and usually one or two other items from their bakery and country store. In other words, it's all about the food!
If you're able to spend a little more time at Curtis Orchard, you can pick your own apples when you go! On their website there's a list of which varieties of apples are available when.
There's also a petting zoo and other activities for the kids. And later in the season they have pumpkin-picking and other autumn festivities. Just check Curtis Orchard's Activities to see what's happening.
