 These video-backgrounds are from www.animationfactory.com
these are wonderful animations, which unfortunately I do NOT know how to make animate here in the Rain.

With the items that have crossed the 'stage-of-USA-life' today,
...I am wondering if these [3 of many such] background selections
NOT only explain what is happening in the higher places,
BUT also point to the Methodology of same.

...the Bernanke appearance before Congress [SBC], ended with observations of 'economy is unusually uncertain'
'interest  rates stay  the same', but 'feds ready to step in if necessary.'

...Dow & other stock-ranking entities and, if news is correct, European Markets were poised to move based
upon the words of one person--- the Fed.

...At this typing [4:10 p.m.], the Dow is Down 109 & change; do not know the reaction from European Markets
but Thursday will tell the tale.

...Today's appearance before  Congress by Ned Barofsky concerning TARP--resulted in his statements of:
[TARP] has not "put a dent in foreclosure filings.'  and " Treasury Department ignored earlier demand that it set
     clearer goals."

...Elizabeth Warren-Chair of TARP Over sight Panel--stated that 'This is a program that's just--it's behind the curve.'
" We can't have a program in which, in effect, we put incentives on the table paid for by the taxpayers to say,
'Please do the right thing here.'
" We have a crises and the consequences of not having cooperation from the services--felt by this entire
economy. We need a program with far more urgency and some real teeth."

Some facts put forth are:
+++ $50 Billion fund from the Wall Street Bailout program was for the Mortgage Modification Program;
+++ to date $248 Million has been expended.
+++ For every 1[ONE] family winning Permanent Mortgage Modification--
+++ 10 [TEN] more have moved out through foreclosure.
+++ HAMP accepted many homeowners into Trial period---
+++ Only 165,000 have moved into Permanent Modification through the TARP Program
+++ Others have advanced through programs administered by Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac

One final fact is necessary to at least print here:
...The situation surrounding Shirley Sherrod - USDA
...Who said what, who did what, and the statement made excoriating the Internet:
...That 'the Net is an open cesspool with no one monitoring .'
...This is on-going, & too close to the Racial Stresses within which we reside at this time in our History

Someone is needed to clip those Strings around us
Someone is needed to flip that Chess board
and
Someone is needed to stand up, clear up, & support those who use the Internet in a proper manner; or
We may see Someone [s] with the Now-Power take over control of the Internet as seen in some foreign countries.

I agree. I think that that for the most part the internet is an unmonitored cesspool. I can remeber when it first became "the thing" (and no I didn't invent it, but I did think of it first. LOL). But I remember for doing research that you can never believe everything you see on the internet. It looks to me like someone made a fundamental mistake in this instance of not only beleiving, but make a serious decision based soley on the facts as they appeared on the internet. Rember. . . Don't believe everything you read, half of what you hear, and even less, much less of what you see on the internet. Woody

Woody...when typing this I did not agree with the cesspool comment. Do support that those who offer  Sites, and venues that attract multiple users need to monitor those sites better.  What I am against is the notion that a public sector individual, group or department should ever be the monitor; this could soon lead to the erosion of Free Speech, and could further cause the " Best for security of Country"  shut-downs that are alive & active in many other countries.
The difficulty is in who monitors and how that monitoring is accomplished.
You are correct on the research avenue where it is more than confusing to ferret out the informing from the inciting; the solid from the absurd; the facts from the fiction.  In some instances a multiple of sites must be visited, but isn't that preferable to being spoon-fed.[as is being done many times under the auspices of education.]
Thank you for opening the conversation further on the good, bad, & ugly of the Internet. Sometimes the irony gets the better of me--I know that you didn't invent the Net--Al Gore did make that claim earlier. LOL
have a good day & Friday too.
