Each year CNN Money evaluates the top 25 counties in the entire US for job growth looking the the previous nine years of data. Obviously having a large source of potential jobs is one of the key items for making a great place to live. It is difficult to have a nice home and life without having the ability to find employment. Fort Bend County Texas is number 5 on the CNN Money list of the 25 top counties for finding a job. Katy and the surrounding areas with Katy mailing addresses can have a home located in Fort Bend County or Harris County or Waller county. Fort Bend county benefits from the major energy firms andengineering firms having large offices in the Houston and surrounding areas. In addition, the areas west of Houston in both Fort Bend county and Harris county benefit from significant medical facilities being moved into the area.
Fort Bend county has experienced significant population growth and all indications are that this will continue into the future. Additional people living in the area also translates into a large number of school age children needing an education. Fort Bend county employs over 14,000 people in the eduction system. Katy ISD and Fort Bend ISD are excellent schools districts and have some of the best schools in the entire country as evidenced by Newsweek Magazine annual list of the top High Schools in the county.

Excellent schools, major medical facilities, pentiful availablilty of jobs, good supply of available homes at reasonable prices and easy access to the city of Houston are all significant advantages of living in the Katy Texas or surrounding areas.
