Martha's blog brings to mind some things that I have heard about blogging from experts.  If we are real and share ourselves with our blogging audiences, they will feel that they know us.  Then when they need a REALTOR® they may remember us!

I've been told that when in Real Estate one blogs to gain exposure, to become known as the expert in ones field or location, and of course to gain readership, clients and customers. I too believe that to be true as the testimonials across the nation of bloggers who have gained beyond even their expectations is enormous. Even I, who blogs in spurts has gained from blogging.

What to blog aboutI must say though it has always amazed me how some out there seem to never have a challenge on what to blog about and are so darn good at it too yet.... I am not one of them.

But today a comment I received on one of my blog posts, that was so totally non-real estate related, has opened my thought process and brought a new meaning to the reason to blog.

On June 26th I wrote a post entitled Speechless Sunday- A Marines Vigil. It was a video my son sent me that touched my heart.

Today I received a comment and an email from the Marine in the video. Yes he found my post and commented. The Marine in the video now has a name. His name is Tim Chambers.

So though I believe in all the right reasons to blog I also now believe that one can reach for the sky and actually touch it. So whether my blog is real estate related or just a feeling in lifes journey it is important to just do it.

You just never know who you will touch or will touch you in the process.

Very nice thoughts about the reasons to blog and to touch people by being yourself and setting yourself apart from the crowd

FYI this was a re-blog!

Paul ~ it is weird how you have all of my contact info in your comment.  Did you mean to do that?  Also if you are not already a member, there are lots of groups on AR for believers!

Marilyn and Rich ~ Thanks!
