We've had our own "END OF THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT" here on ActiveRain over the last few days, AND I FEEL FINE!
When you stop and think for a moment, EVERY day is the end of the world as we know it!
Our world is fluid, dynamic and a blast!
Change is constant, unrelenting and irresistible!
In the 23 years since this song has come out, an unbelievable amount has changed in our world. Technology, medicine, you name it, little stays the same! We MUST continue to learn! There is no safety in stagnation. The status quo was yesterday, today's a NEW game!
Not ALL change is good, but the train will continue to roll. You can decry and protest the change, but most change WILL still happen! (But maybe you'll feel better after venting!)
When you can, make the choice to have a positive attitude, seek to understand why and how the change is happening! And if that change is something you can't accept, then choose to fight the honorable battle! You may not win, but at least you tried and stood up for your values!
