Do you have the type of audience or following that are too shy to give you feedback, making it difficult for you to know exactly what people are interested in hearing about? Well here is a little strategy for finding out what people in your niche want to know about, so when you publish your articles and/or blogs, it will seem like you've read their minds.
You need to look for forums where others like you would get together to discuss and trade information and queries in your particular niche.
For example, Go to Google and type in: forum, and then your niche, such as; advertising, fly fishing, real estate, etc., you get the picture.
Google will then give you a large list of forum sites containing your requested information.
Check out some of these sites and in the search field type in some terms that people have written about in the forum posts.
Take what appears to be the most popular or frequently written about posts and pull some terms such as: - "advice about" - "I hate it when" - "I need help with" - "can anyone help me" - "I'm looking for".
More than likely you will then get a series of threads that will have someone in need of something. This may very well be your next blog.
The possibilities are staggering, of all that you can find hidden in these forums.
So if you want to be a top authority in your niche, you're going to need to give your audience exactly what they are craving for.
"And here's a bonus tip: If the threads you find were relatively recent, you can write a blog post or article specifically addressing the need or the problem, and then go into the thread itself as a user and give a brief answer/solution, and then link to your article for more information. That's instant (highly-targeted) traffic."
Well I hope this information was helpful. I know it can be difficult keeping things fresh and staying in the know, providing information as well as answers for your readers.
Good Luck and who knows, maybe you'll even learn a few things!
