Anybody out there put the axe to their home or work phone line? Some people may have wanted to but can't lose their faxing capabilties, and don't want to pay a monthly fee for a solution. Well, I have a solution to send faxes and receive faxes - for free!!!
This service works great! The only semi-annoying thing is you have to wait a minute or two for them to send you an e-mail, then click the link to confirm. Then, the fax is on it's way! I've been using this service for over a year now and have never not had a fax delivered! It's very reliable and easy to use.
Again, a very reliable FREE way to receive faxes to your e-mail. You'll receive an actual phone # to use as your fax #, but it probably won't be from your area code, and there's no way to pick your own (without upgrading). Then, when the fax comes in, they forward it to the e-mail address you supply them with (as an attachment). You have to download their viewer to view the attachment (or upgrad to recieve them as .pdf's) but it's easy and it works.
So these are the solutions I've found to keep it free, and that really work. Now you can "cut the lines" and enjoy!
***UPDATE - just discovered that there is a 10 page per month limit on the free efax service, so it may not be for everyone. Has anybody found a truly free way to recieve faxes for free without limitations?
