Today marks the halfway point in my 100,000 points in 20 weeks quest. (OK, OK, I know, it's not about the points...that's just why the new ActiveRain leaderboard is so popular!) At this point, I am over halfway there, so I would like to encourage all you other ActiveRain newbies that it is possible to throw yourself into this and get active on ActiveRain. One of the best things about ActiveRain is the people that you meet along the way. Please indulge me as I give credit to a few of the people who have provided an excellent example of the amazing caliber of people you meet on ActiveRain.
Roy Kelley: He was quick to tell me about Localism and encouraged me to get involved there. Thank you Roy!
Blogging Diva Barbara Todaro: She amazes me with the volume of quality blogs she produces. I don't know how she does it! I am sure to find something useful whenever I stop in on Barbara's blog.
Gerry Michaels (aka Gettysburg Gerry): He told me about NVu software that allows you to better format your blog posts and how to structure my blogs so that they were more easy to read. It was invaluable information that has truly helped me to improve my blogs. Thank you Gerry!
My Three Favorite Inspectors: Michael Thornton in Nashville, Russel Ray in San Diego and last but certainly not least, Jay Markanich in my home state of Virginia. You guys provide a lot of great information to this forum.
Short Sale Svengalis Melissa Zavala on the West Coast and Broker Bryant Tutas on the East Coast. If you have a question about short sales, you can find the answer on one of their blogs.
Wicked humor can be found on the blogs and comments left by J Philip Faranda, TLW (aka Broker Bryant's wife) and Alan May. These folks always make me smile and sometimes laugh so hard that people think I have lost my mind.
I can always find something uplifting on the blogs of Pat Kennedy. She serves as a great example of keeping it positive. And I love her week in review blogs!
No tribute to the quality of bloggers on ActiveRain would be complete without a nod to the contributions of Lenn Harley. I don't know which I enjoy more, her blogs or her comments which are often punctuated with her trademark "HA!" You have to admire someone who calls it like it is and always says what is on her mind. I can learn a lot from someone like Lenn!
My list could go on and on but I just wanted to use this halfway mark as a way to say thank you...thank you...thank you. The quality of people is what makes me come back to ActiveRain day after day. The points are fun, but the people are priceless!
