On new Construction: What a Good and a not so good panel should look like

New Construction Electrical Main Panel

Above is an electrical panel that has a very precise position for every wire. The electrician took his time to place all of the wires in a very neat and workmanship manner. No problem with a panel that appears like this one. This is a house that will be closing this week. The electrician for this new home were conscientious .

On the other hand, a new house that was closed on about two weeks ago, the panel was not very well wired.  One can see that wires are not very well placed inside the electrical panel. There are four wires that stand out in the photograph crossing close to the electrical "Hot" conductor terminals, not to mention other wires that are close to the buss bars. The wires are not done in a workmanship manner but passed the city inspection. This would not be "properly wired in a consistent manner" according to the NEC and I would mention in my report this defect so that the electrician who signed off would come back to repair the wiring technique.
