Moose Monday - I Saw Moose in Yellowstone National Park!

I don't remember starring at them too look since I was more preoccupied with taking as many good photo sof them that I could.   But, I hope you enjoyed your starring contest and that you won.  Have a great start to your week!  :)

I am glad you enjoyed the photo of mom and baby moose.  I think September is still a good month to visit Yellowstone.  I have never visited in September but I don't think it would be that cold.  But then again the term cold is relative, I had a couple of friends from California who visited Red Lodge a couple of weeks ago.  We were sitting outside and watching the stars at night and it got a little too cold for them. 

When you are at high altitudes (like in Red Lodge or Yellowstone), the temperature can change quickly and many times throughout the day.  So it is always wise to bring a warm jacket and be prepared to have extra layers just in case there is a sudden drop in temperature.  For more detailed info about the weather in September (and throughout the year), you can check out the Yellowstone website at http://www.nps.gov/yell/planyourvisit/weather.htm

According to the website, for September, the average maximum temperature is 67.8F and the average minimum temperature is 37F (with average total snow fall of 0.5 inch)

It would be a very fun road trip to plan for the two fo you.  I am sure the two of you would enjoy Yellowstone.  There were plenty of tourists from Utah during my most recent visit (judging by the license plates on the visitors' cars and trailers).
