VAL VISTA LAKES GILBERT AZ | MY HOME
In 2004, after researching the Phoenix area, we discovered Val Vista Lakes in Gilbert AZ.
We toured the Val Vista Lakes Clubhouse, drove through the lush green landscaped community, and decided this is where we would relocate.
We found a beautiful custom home on the waterfront in Lakeside, a gated sub-community of Val Vista Lakes and immediately bought it.
In order to give back to our Lakeside community and Val Vista Lakes, I became active in the community.
Below are some of the things I've done for our community:
- Member of Lakeside HOA Board of Directors since 2006; President two years
- Developed programs to save money for Lakeside. Haven't increased dues in 3 years.
- My wife and I are Co-Presidents of Val Vista Lakes Nifty Fifty Club
- Assist in organizing annual Christmas Luminary Night and Hayride for Val Vista Lakes
- Member of 4 sub-community presidents group in 2007 who identified deferred maintenance to present to Val Vista Lakes management
- Member of Val Vista Lakes BOD for one year
- Presented plan to BOD to establish committees for various projects, which was adopted
- Recommendations to BOD for increasing income without raising dues
- Member of Banquet Committee to increase marketing activities for additional Banquet revenue
- Assist BOD and management in other volunteer activities
- Promote Val Vista Lakes Clubhouse for weddings and other events to increase revenue.
Revenue produced from Val Vista Lakes Clubhouse banquet rooms help keep dues low.

The man-made mountain is lighted during Christmas with 700,000 lights. Visitors from across the valley visit "Holiday Mountain" to see the lights and visit Santa Claus when open to the public.
During Holiday Mountain I volunteer to work the gate entrance greeting visitors and selling hot chocolate and cookies to help offset the lights expense. Visitors bring canned food for donation to our charity.
I have taken videos of all 24 Val Vista Lakes communities and other areas of Val Vista Lakes.
Having lived in this wonderful community for 6 years, and being very active in the community, as well as helping buyers buy homes in Val Vista Lakes, there are few people who know the community better than I, and they have lived here for over 20 years.
