When Consumers Search For You Online, What (& Who) Indeed Do They Find?   

Getting traffic to your web presence is enough of a challenge.  When online consumers find your profile or website, will they find incomplete information or contact information that has not been updated in several years?  Hope not.

When a consumer is searching for an agent, he/she will typically search for locations, plus specific qualifications – like languages spoken and niche market specialties (i.e. luxury homes, investment properties, condos, etc).  The likely result is a list of agents found with the desired qualifications. Unless a personal connection already exists, what information is available to assist consumers in making an informed decision?

On most real estate websites, agents can upload a photo, list multiple contact methods, and indicate markets serviced and areas of specialty.  This information is what separates you from everyone else, so it needs to be kept up-to-date and complete.  Your profile will stand side-by-side with other agents’ profiles. Have you taken the time to review this information lately?

And don’t overlook the importance of a business profile photo. This is your first chance to make a lasting impression, so you want your profile photo to present a polished, professional representation. A recent research study on twitter.com analyzed 9 million Twitter profiles and found profiles with a photo have 10 times more followers than profiles without a photo. What are you saying about yourself when you leave your profile picture blank?

With Agent Searches steadily increasing each month on KW.com and traffic up 14% over last month,  there is no time like the present to go ahead and update that agent profile page! 

Here are the instructions for Keller Williams Realty associates:

1. Start by logging into kw.com

2. Once logged in, click on the link for the White Pages on the left-hand side

3. Now, search for your name in the Associate Search

4. There are 5 places to fill in information: 

STEP 1-Upload Agent Photo

STEP 2-Biography

STEP 3-In the Referral Profile section of your profile, Languages Spoken

STEP 4-Specialties (these are the keywords used in searches)

STEP 5-Designations

5. Now when consumers search for an agent on KW.com, they will see a more complete and informative representation of you!

And for KW Market Center Leadership, we have created a helpful report to assist you.  It tells you the percentage of associates who fully enhanced their profile. To see where your market center stands:

1.       Log into KW.com.

2.       Click REPORTS in the top, right corner.

3.       In the left nav of the REPORTS screen, click on the folder called Web Statistics.

4.       Click on the top report, Associate Profile Statistics Report

5.       Use the left nav to click on the your market center specifically.
