Could the Clinton Vineyard Supply the wine for Chelsea Clinton's Wedding?

Could the Clinton Vineyard Supply the wine for Chelsea Clinton's Wedding?

The Clinton Vineyards is one of the Hudson Valley's finest wineries.  A unique winery in the tradition of the small European estates, this vineyard once supplied wine for President Bill Clinton's inaugural ball and I could see why. Who wouldn't like a wine that bears his or her name, especially an award winning one?

I am familiar with the Clinton Vineyards and I especially enjoy their desert wines: Embrace, a delicious red raspberry wine, perfect to enjoy with chocolate and Desire, a silver medal winner, are both exceptional.  It was just a few weeks ago that I stopped by their booth at the Dutchess Country Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck and took this photo

The winery offers many fine wines, champagnes and, of course, the popular desert wines.

According to the New York Times there is a possibility some of the wine for Chelsea Clinton's Wedding could be coming from the Clinton Vineyards and if so that would be a great choice.

I like the wine, not the Clintons.  I hope the Hudson made your weather a bit cooler than NYC

Pat I know you would not be disappointed, just go to the website.

Janet if you like desert wines Embrace and Desire are among the best.

Kenneth the weather is much cooler than the last 2 weeks.  It is impossible to ignore all the visitors and news people the event has brought to the area.

Vineyards where families have hands-on enthusiasm for their work can be wonderful assets in a community whether or not they are visited by aristocracy =)

Jennifer, it would make since to me for them to go with a local wine.  You have to blog about it if they do.

Hi Jennifer... will Chelsea be keeping her maiden name?  Otherwise maybe they need to find a vineyard with her married last name!  LOL

Well, I guess you've heard that you made the right call!  Smart girl you are!  I've GOT to try some of these wines--you should do copy for the company; you've made them sound perfectly wonderful!

JENNIFER: I love desert wines and I need to try your recommendations. What a timely post with the Clintons in your area, it certainly woulld be fabulous for the owners of the Clinton Vineyard to get all this publicity free. Great post. BTW, how far from Rhinebeck is the Catskills? My brother and his family lived in Liberty, NY and I actually while visiting him went to a restaurant called Kathy and Johns. Have you been there?
