Theo: I will probably be selling my house in Kingstream in the months ahead. I hate to do it, it is such a wonderful community, but it looks like I will be relocating to Wisconsin soon.
Would show me what properties have sold in Kingstream the last 6 months? I want to keep track of what is happening with sales trends in the neighborhood.
Also, could you post a link to showing which homes are currently for sale in Kingstream as well as those that are under contract?

John: What home styles can I find in Kingstream?
Steve: The main theme in the community is the modern colonial floor plan...the most popular style built in Northern Virginia in the last 20 years. Decks, patios, porches and additions to the original homes abound.

Ted: What schools serve King stream?
Steve: Kingstream is a community of 400 homes and school boundaries can cross in such a sizeable community. The majority of Kingstream is served by the following schools, with links embedded:
Dranesville Elementary
Herndon Middle
Herndon High School
However, always double check the Fairfax County School Locater website by entering in the address of any home you plan to purchase. School boundaries change and 3rd party on line school info is not always up to date or accurate.
A follow up email or phone call to the school would also be advisable.
Fred: Is there any shopping close by?
Steve: There are more options for shopping, entertainment and dining near Kingstream than you can shake a stick at.
All the shopping off Elden Street in Herndon is just minutes away or you can go the other direction and hit the Sterling shopping emporiums.
Reston Town Center is just up the road a couple miles so all the shopping and dining establishments there are easily at the disposal of Hiddenbrook residents.
Diane: Kingstream sounds good and looks great from these photos. What philosophical advice would you give us regarding our Herndon house hunting adventure there?
Steve: Check out the totality of the choices before you, analyze your needs and wants, separate the two, visit as many properties as you need to until you can connect with just the right home for you. It will be almost a spiritual sensation....in 1970’s terminology…you should feel the right “vibe”.
The right real estate agent will understand this and enjoy the hunt as much as you will…do not work with anyone with whom YOU don't also have that “vibe”..... there is no point in that.
....And try to be at peace about the whole process.
