I wanted my list of 5 cool places to shop in Calhoun County, Michigan to include also some of the quaint downtown districts, flea markets, and places off the beaten path of various communities, as well as some little know gift shopping nuggets that people over look.

The 5 cool places to shop in Calhoun County, Michigan presented here are based entirely on opinion, and research of my own, and I tried to cover a wide variety of places someone could go to cover all the bases of gift shopping.

1) The Marshall Downtown shopping district.  The downtown community of Marshall has maintained itself as a fantastic classic shopping area with original stores that carry antiques, clothing, gifts stores, etc.  They are a definite destination for a great street walking shopping experience.  It is my number 1 of the 5 cool places to shop in Calhoun County, Michigan.

2) Lakeview Card & Gift Shop in Battle Creek.  For a single store, this Hallmark store has everything for a 5 Cool Places to Shop in Calhoun County Michiganquick in and out gift buying experience.  Got some last minute unexpected guests around the holidays?  Anniversary, birthday or other special occasion? Take a trip to this little store, it will have something for everyone, and they will wrap it for you.  Their service makes them my number 2 of the 5 cool places to shop in Calhoun County, Michigan.

4) The Battle Creek Farmers Market.  This is not in a permanent location, but they set up usually every Saturday morning during the spring, summer and fall downtown at the McCamly marketplace.  They have everything from fresh vegetables, fruits, canned goods, plants, artwork, etc.  It is fun and always different every time you go.  They make my number 4 of the 5 cool places to shop in Calhou5 Cool Places to Shop in Calhoun County Michigann County, Michigan in my opinion.

5) Horrock's farm market place and store.  This is a privately owned store which is part grocery store, greenhouse, and department store.  Upstairs they have original handcrafted furniture, books, and home décor.  The green house and garden center has everything you need for your garden.  The grocery department has all kinds of fresh vegetables and fruit, from the exotic to the commonplace, as well as all the other common goods you need and want.  They also make available free coffee while you shop, and I like that.  Last but not least, they round out my top 5 of the 5 cool places to shop in Calhoun County, Michigan.
