Yikes! Here I am writing my first blog! So many things I could write about, so where do I begin? I'm jumping in with a topic that is very important to me: providing quality real estate information for Portland, Oregon area seniors - the over 55 group.
My husband and business partner, Tom and I specialize in helping seniors determine what living situation will work well for them as they age. We have a team of experts, and together we explore the housing options that seniors have. We work with home remodelers for "aging in place", often a wonderful solution for seniors who are quite self-sufficient, but simply can't handle stairs, or small hallways.
If moving to a retirement home is the right decision, we work with an awesome organizer, who can help the seniors sort through their belongings, decide what to keep and what to give up...often a task that seems overwhelming in the beginning. In addition, we have built relationships with several local retirement homes and assisted living facilities. We would be happy to help "match" seniors with the perfect facility.
If selling the home is the right thing to do, we have years of experience and can advise the seniors and help them get their house sold, always with respect and patience.
I have my Seniors Real Estate Specialist designation. This means that I have had additional training in areas of real estate that are important to seniors. It's a natural fit for us... being Baby Boomers ourselves, along with being very involved in helping our parents (all in their 90's) to adjust to some very difficult life changes.
