Five Reasons Why I Blog on Active Rain

People frequently comment that they read my blog to learn what's happening in my market area.  Agents often ask why I blog. Simple.  Buyers and sellers normally begin their agent or property search on the Internet.  Many buyers and sellers have grown up with computers or have become computer literate and have determined how to find information on the web.

The maintenance of a traditional website can be overwhelming.  It requires constant updates with current facts and information.  Unfortunately it takes time and effort to consistently update a website.  It's extremely difficult to update a website due to the sheer number of tabs and pages as well as all of the hours to modify the content as well financial expenditure.

My Active Rain blog is a single page.  It is embedded with key words.  Unlike a website, my Active Rain blog does not take me hours to update.  I can post text, audio and video and have it on the Internet is a short time. 

My Active Rain blog is the best cost effective advertising approach.  Google spiders and other search engines seem to recognize my blog post much quicker than a traditional website.  Besides that, I can attach my blog to my website.

I've made numerous business friends and personal acquaintances in Active Rain.  I read blogs in determining which agent has the same work ethic as me. I give out referrals and receive referrals.  Here I am with friends, without backstabbing, or "shenanigans".

Has my Active Rain blog brought me any business? Yes, I successfully closed 51 transactions in 2009.  Does that say anything?
