Without a doubt, residents of the 78738 zip code in Austin will all tell you that the subdivisions of Lake Pointe and The Pointe have alot to offer its residents. Located in the highly touted Lake Travis Independent School District (LTISD), Lake Pointe is one short minute away from the Hill Country Galleria. Here are some of the benefits of choosing a home in Lake Pointe, or the gated section called The Pointe:

  • Neighborhood parks, ponds and trails
  • Views of beautiful Travis County Preserves and Lake Austin
  • Lake Pointe Elementary School (LTISD) located in the neighborhood
  • Community Center available for private events and community activities
  • Underground utilities and curbed streets
  • Lush common area landscaping
  • Pool, sportcourts (basketball and tennis), playscape
  • Easy access to Highway 71, Bee Caves Rd (2244) and RR 620

Here's a look at some of the neighborhood amenities:

The playscape here is covered by Coolaroo-type fabric, and the one at Lake Pointe elementary is seasonally covered, too. Keep the kids cool while they play!

This is a helpful post to community members, with the kind of 'insider information' people look for.

Shelley, nice localism post on the Lake Pointe community. I also do a lot of localism posts to learn not only about the areas, but the people as well.

Thanks for the comments, ladies! I am working to build a bank of community features.  So much of the information available for consumers online is sterile and statistical.  I think they are more concerned with quality of life!
