I love my ActiveRain blog, but I've noticed a few things about RealTown that I really like.
It's just plain easier to upload photos and graphics on RealTown, especially those with large file sizes.
- I can load bigger photos and larger file sizes.
- I don't receive all the "Bad Gateway" messages that I get here when I try to upload photos.
- The RealTown server stays open to uploads in progress that take longer than 30 seconds.
The last one is a huge advantage when you are in a remote area like I often am. My wireless broadband signal is really wimpy on Madeline Island. That means it's difficult for me to upload really great high-resolution photos in thirty seconds or less. It appears the AR servers assume that a photo file is too large and if the upload isn't complete by that time, I get kicked out!
Help us out here, ActiveRain. Not everyone has access to an ethernet connection wherever they go.
