Please help me introduce Active Rain Newcomer Real Estate Agent Akil Walker.
About three months ago,we had a sales meeting at a New Home Development in Upper Marlboro,MD. (I can't remember the name right now). Anyway to make a long story short,my broker told me that he has noticed a change in me this year as far as being active,always being in the office and staying busy. So he told me if I don't mind to please share with the rest of my fellow real estate agents at the time what I was doing. I told the crowd (Even though I don't really like speaking in front of people that much) that one of the things that I am doing a lot of is blogging on Active Rain.com.
I guess Akil was the only one who paid attention. He later on came to me and we talked for a while since we haven't seen each other in a while. Somebody else came up to me and asked me about Active Rain. This real estate agent has asked me like three times on three separate occassions What is Active Rain and I told him the same thing. You want potential home buyers and sellers to contact you,you need to be on Active Rain. I don't know how many times I can tell you the same thing I have told you once? Some people just don't get it. Anyway later I found out later that Akil joined Active Rain. Can I get any credit for this? LOL. SERIOUSLY.
The one thing that I am very happy for Akil is not only did he join,but he blogs a lot. Matter of fact since he has joined,he has written more blogs than me. I definitely see Akil passing the 100,000 point mark before this year is over. Akil is now at Exit Advance Realty at 8500 Westphalia Rd.Upper Marlboro MD. And after what happened at our office,I am leaving too and decided to bring my talents and skills and follow my buddy Akil to Exit Advance Realty.
So please stop by his profile,read his blog and give him some advice,tips and/or suggestions. Heck I still need some more advice,tips and suggestions. I would really appreciate it. He is a licensed Real Estate Agent in MD and DC. Some of the markets he services to my knowledge is Prince George's County MD and I think also Montgomery County MD. And of course Washington DC. So Akil if you are reading this,let the Active Rain Community know what markets you service just in case they have a lead and they need a Realtor to help them with their out of state client. Akil Walker is also a CDPE (Certified Distressed Property Expert). I was supposed to get mine this month but hopefully I will get it soon once I am done transferring all of my paperwork and stuff to Exit Advance Realty.
We all know that Active Rain members are super friendly,nice,fun-loving,caring,energetic,very knowledgeable of the Real Estate Market. So any advice or suggestions would be helpful. Encourage him to blog more. So Akil I forgot to tell you this but "Welcome to Active Rain".
