The Tuttle Family Farm, in Dover NH
Shipwrecked off the Maine coast, John Tuttle finally made it in 1632 to claim his land grant from King Charles I to start a farm. 378 years later, they ae selling the spread-one of the oldest continuously operated family farms in the country. I don't know who has listed this property in Dover NH, but what a slice of history that will be!
My ancestor, John Dexter, came to this country in the 1600's from Northern Ireland. I love this story because the Tuttles arrived at about the same time and both came because of land grants. I wish I had such specific history of my family.
