After spending about an hour in Carlsbad’s treasure store, Somewhere in Time Fine Jewelry, I received an education in jewelry, antiques, and history. With over 37-years as a gemologist and fine jeweler, and 14-years in downtown Carlsbad, Owner Perry Coles has accumulated an extensive variety of jewelry, antiques, stories, and experiences that you don’t want to miss. He and his team take pride in educating their clientele and spending the time required to find or design the perfect piece they seek.
While their primary focus is on fine jewelry, they also serve their clientele by providing appraisals, repairs, and custom designs. Since they recently launched their extensive website, you can easily browse and shop their inventory from the comfort of your home. Online, you can also subscribe to their newsletter which provides additional education, savings and discounts, and access to special events.

As mentioned earlier, most of us (or in my case, my wife) have old jewelry that we no longer wear for a multitude of reasons. Encourage your event attendees to bring their jewelry to the event; Perry will make offers on purchasing the pieces, and if accepted, he will donate an additional 10% to your charity! Your donors get full value for their piece, your charity receives a donation from Perry, and he gets a potential new client as well as a piece of jewelry for his collection. Pretty good!
