Anyone looking to remodel a bathroom Refinished Bathtubmay want

to consider refinishing the bathtub.  For less than $300 one can have a new used tub with a 5 year warranty.

I never knew how much went into this type of work.  I watched Don Barnes spray paint stripper and then scrape all of the old paint off of the tub.  Then he coated it with hydrochloric acid before adding the primer.

After the primer was applied he sprayed three coats of polyurethane paint to the tub.  Man what a beauty it is now.  My wife is very happy, thank God.

Don can be reached at 985-641-1842.  He serves all of St. Tammany including Slidell, Pearl River and Lacombe.

John, I have refinished several tubs including one in my current home. The cost is reasonable and now a day you can go green and reduce the smell and toxic solution.

I've heard of people doing it on old claw foot tubs, which is important as most of those contain lead, but never to a newer tub. That certainly would be cheaper that ripping out and installing a new tub.

I guess it's more common in my area.  We would have done it differently if we had realized the tub had been re glazed once already.  But it was to late.
