In the center of Pueblo is Elmwood Golf Course. Easy to get to by way of Thatcher Ave or Pueblo Blvd at 3900 Thatcher Ave. Green fees range from $13.50 - $28.00 Carts $9.50 - $18.00 and a bucket of balls $4.00 - $6.00

When you play a round on the City course and you hear wild animals it isn't your imagination - it's the Pueblo Zoo which backs up to the course.

The average house in the immediate area (Central High School) lists at $85.00 and the average sold in the last six months were $78,914. Square foot $78.65 and days on the market 89.

The old rock bridge over Bessimer Ditch isn't used anymore but adds to the experience.

Come to Pueblo and play around!

I'd love to but I can't get out of a wet brown bag with a golf club.  I was born with a bad golfing  gene.

Dena, I think I share the same gene as Chris.

Golfers pay a whole lot more than those fees to hit that little ball around here!!!

It must be a bit confusing at first hearing the wild animal sounds! Great post for your Localism side. One of these days, I'll come down and play a round [of golf  ;)  ] with you!

Where I live, golf is much more expensive, so I have never tried it.  My mother used to love it though, even with a 37 handicap!  You just reminded me that I need to do my golf course post too...

I have to admit I own hand-me-down clubs that travel around in the back of my car. It's been my goal for the last two summers to get out and at least play once. Now my company is sponsoring the Texas-Colorado Junior Ryder Cup 2007 coming up soon. I'm afraid for the three days were are there I'm going to have a blank look on my face.
