I came out of a time capsule.....this new real estate business is great!

When I got back into residential real estate 5 years ago (not great timing, huh?), I had to start from scratch.  Having owned my own company in the late 80's into the early 90's, then returning to the corporate world for 15 years, I came back with no active real estate sphere.  I do have to say, though, I wouldn't know a good market if I fell in it.

It was like coming out of a time capsule.  In the 80's, I did not have a cell phone or the internet.  MLS was a book that was published every two weeks. You could cold call.  There was no buyer agency, everyone worked for the seller (buyer beware).

So here I am.  I live and breath with my Blackberry.  I have my own website.  I keep up with technology and social networking.  I used the web-based Top Producer contact management program. I blog.  Who is this girl?

Had I not gone through the 80's in real estate, I would not appreciate the way things are today.

    This is great!!!

There is a lot to be said for new ways of doing business.  Of course, it can be overwhelming.  I'm glad you are having such fun!

You go girl, I am so happy to hear that you are excited about your career and even more excited about using the technology.  You will be successful, because you have the right attitude.  Good things come to those who adapt.

Continued Prosperity

I bet it was quite a culture shock!  Good that you were able to make the switch and embrace it.  I still know agents who don't own a computer and would use it for a doorstop if they did!
