The Greater Westhampton Chamber of Commerce and the Westhampton Beach Farmer's Market will be hosting our annual summer BLOOD DRIVE this coming Saturday, August 7th between 8 AM - 1 PM at 85 Mill Road in Westhampton Beach. The Long Island Blood Services Bloodmobile will be on hand in the Farmer's Market Parking Lot accepting your "Gift of Life."
For more than 40 years, Long Island Blood Center has provided our community with the highest quality transfusion products and services, as well as leading-edge research, technological and medical care innovation, and education in the field of transfusion medicine.
That dedication and commitment continues today as Long Island Blood Center provides life-saving blood products and clinical and transfusion services to close to 200 hospitals in New York each and every day. Donating blood is literally giving the gift of life. Each day, NYBC needs close to 2,000 people a day to roll up their sleeves to give the gift of life. There is simply no substitute for voluntarily donated blood. Without volunteer donors, our community would not have an adequate community blood supply.
To schedule a confirmed appointment to give the "Gift of Life" this Saturday, August 7th, donors may contact the Greater Westhampton Chamber of Commerce at 631-288-3337 for a confirmed time slot for donating - 1/2 hour increments between 8AM-1PM.
Walk-Up donors will be gladly accepted as well throughout the day!
After giving the "Gift of Life",take a stroll through the Westhampton Beach Farmers Market and stock up on all of your local fresh fruits, produce and goodies... head down to Main Street and visit some of your favorite retail shops... or come on over to Mill Road and the Village Green for the 38th Annual Mary O. Fritchie Outdoor Art Show - 140 Fine Artists!
