The road less travelled: Mike in Tucson

~ The Road Less Travelled ~

I've driven this 12 mile stretch of road six times in the last month. It's fascinating. The desert, the wildlife, the absolute solitude is just magnificent.  Other than the caretaker of the park at the end of the road, I've never encountered a single soul.  Not once.  You might want to visit...

The road less travelled: Mike in Tucson

It's worth your while.  The ancients walked here, and other than the road, the landscape today is much the same as it was a thousand years ago.  Make time in your business for your life.  You won't be sorry.

Not a soul????  Are you sure.  I see the soul of a horse, a tortois and an eagle.  I'm sure "the ancients" would agree.

Mike: Great photos and very timely advice. One of my colleagues just suffered a massive stroke.  Her life is changed forever and so is mine.......I'm taking time each day to appreciate the little things.  It isn't all about getting the most deals, getting awards, getting the most $, etc. It's about enjoying life, interacting and making a difference, and being someone people will remember.  Take time for your drives.

Mike,

Thanks, I love it!

It's a true blessing to be able to see the fascinating beauty around us. So many sad people would look at the first photo and see nothing, surly they are more blind than the sightless.

No doubt, Mike - good advice (which I need to pay attention to more often).  Getting wrapped up in the minutae of day-to-day business makes it easy to forget what makes living so precious.

Doreen,

I imagine you're right.

Teri,

It's 1 1/2 hours west of Tucson, and there's not much else to do out that way.

Barbara Jo,

Thanks for the encouragement!

Joan M,

I'll call you.

Joan C,

You're welcome!

Kent,

Amen to that!  Congrats on your new Albuquerque venture.

Harry,

It's a good way to live.

Bill,

I think you have the makings of a great post in your comment!

Lorraine,

Thanks for telling us that story.  Best to you and your friend.

Penny,

Thanks for your kind words!  It's encouraging.

Lenn,

I see your point.  Is there a difference between "soul" and "spirit?"

Susie,

I thought you would like that horse!

Aaron,

Thanks for stopping to comment!

Kathy,

Images speak to me.

Bob & Carolin,

Thanks for being the first to comment, and thanks for the referral yesterday!
