"Y'ALL COME!"

"Y'ALL COME!" is a down-home expression equated with those of us fortunate to have been born and reared in the Southeastern region of the United States; but no where more so than in NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE.  Home of the Grand Ole Opry and probably the "Guitar Capital of the World", Music City, USA is not only a place to visit--it is a Great Place to Live.

Strangers are welcomed, visitor are made to feel at home, and everyone is greeted with a smile--like the upbeat words to the Gospel classic, "Give the world a smile each day, helping someone on life's way..."  If you are thinking of relocating, changing your career or lifestyle, then know we Nashvillians say, "Y'all Come!!!"

Fred - I once thought I was traveling to Nashville and ended up in Asheville, but that's another story ... From the point-of-view of this westerner ... Nashville is one of the most welcoming and friendly cities to serve grits with breakfast.  Thanks for sharing your city ....

Jack, if ever coming this way--shout!!! The coffee pot will be on, and if you like grits, you will want to google Cracker Barrel restaurants & old country stores.  It got a bit damp around here in April.  True story: A portable classroom floated down I-24 until it hit a railroad trussel.  When I first say it, I thought it was a mobile home being pulled by some overconfident trucker.  Oprland Hotel had water 18 feet deep in it lobby.  The Bass Pro Shop had Bass swimming through the store...

We can laugh about it now...

Hi Fred,

When I travel I notice two things.  Nashville and Middle Tennessee are held in high regard by those in other places and, I appreciate Nashville even more when away.  We have a very nice place to live, work and play.  Great post!

Thanks,

Richard Acree
