Have You Sponsored Your Community?

Yesterday I received an interesting email from ActiveRain. It seems that the time was right for me to "claim my community". Honestly I did not have a clue what that meant.

After a little digging, I found that for the princely sum of 19 bucks I could sponsor my own community. Sadly, after fiddling with the system for a few minutes I can't figure out if mine is still available or not.

What is the consensus of the peanut gallery? Are you going to sponsor your community? Why or why not?

Hi Doug ~ Have you read the official posts about it?  That makes it more clear. I also took one of the webinars they had. I've signed up for five.  I'm not sure at this point of the value - I'm a little uneasy - but on the other hand I think the pages look sharp and I'm betting they will rank well.

Doug, there were a couple of webinars that explained it, I think they have changed it with Localism as I noted now if you go to post its called Hyper Local category.  I claimed 2 subdivisions.

Scroll on the community If you want to sponsor it will tell you if it is available and the little Visa card pops up  to take your $19 and you claim it and then upload a photo and link.  Takes about 24 hours to go into full effect
