tas_best_of_big_dOne question I get asked daily is how I come up with my bog ideas. I liken it to simple story telling. The kind of story you might share with a co-worker or friend when you meet them in the day. Something that is going on in your life that is interesting, instructive, or potentially informative. Blogging is simple story telling in 500 words or less. Here are 20 ideas that might spark something for you.

Values and trends in your area,

How to get leads, how to convert a lead

How to best price a house

Creating comps, or creating comps on a unique property

Inspirational moments in your career

Inspirational people who have helped you

Anything neighborhood…a historical story, a restaurant or small business story, a new park or playground

Anything local education. New schools, school ratings, teachers, sports

Closing the deal (how to)

Loosing the deal (why)

Things you see driving around

10 most common questions prospects ask

Overcoming hurdles

Qualifying questions

Why Real Estate is the best business

Things you learned today, or experienced yesterday

20 great ideas for the season

Any funny story, people love funny

Negotiation strategies

Why my office is the best.

And on another point make sure you send a simple thank you to people who go out of their way to assist you in achieving your goals.  This is a very powerful tool.

I look forward to reading your blogs.

Larry, I'm beginning to understand that blogging is a bit like finding a groove. At first I splashed around reading other peoples blogs and trying to figure out some sort of niche. Then I just went ahead and wrote all kinds of posts, and eventually it became clear what kind of posts that I write most comfortably. Of course, there's days that I stare at a screen willing something to come out, but they are becoming less frequent.

Thanks Larry - I'm going to add this to my blogging list.  I think the best thing about blogging is if you have a story to tell and no one is around to hear - you just get on the net and blog about it.
