Today I went out door to door delivering "Just Listed" brochures to people in a neighborhood where I have a new listing. It was a great way to meet with people and I actually came across 4 potential clients.
It's amazing to see people smile and actually enjoy someone stopping by. Who knows, maybe one of them was lonely. Maybe one of them just needed a break from their monotonous day. Whatever the case, I was greeted by several people who smiled, engaged in conversation and said they were happy I stopped by.
We need to remember that making contacts with people means actually looking them in the eye and taking a few minutes to listen to them. Some of us just get caught up in making calls from the phone because we just don't want to waste time driving around. Well, today was no waste to me. I got my name and face out there. Not to mention, I actually walked for an hour and it felt great!
Get out there and meet people face to face. Stop by some FSBO's, let someone know you are there to help and ask if they need it.
Hope you enjoyed this...More importantly, don't forget to get out of your shell and meet people so you can look them in the eye.

There's no downside to your post. Face to Face trumps all other forms of communication when your trying to make an impact. I hope you get some more business from your efforts.

Tracie,
I have not walked a neighborhood lately. Sometimes we forget the good old techniques and move on to the new. Thanks for the reminder of things that will probably always work.
