Are your listings being left unlocked? Lock the Doors

Sometimes it amazes me that fellow agents leave vacant home unlocked. I just got back from showing my own listing valued at 2 Million dollars and found the 2 doors unlocked.

Wall SafeTo top that off, we have a wall safe in this home an leave it open so people can see the size of the secured area inside the safe. Someone had been bold enough to monkey around the the safe door to get it to lock. So I had to call the owner and let him know. He gave me the combo all was well. Good thing no one was inside! Now all that being said a phone call from the agent saying woops we lock the safe would of been nice. Alas no!

We all need to remember we are always guests in other people's homes, even if they are vacant.

This happens too often it would seem -- any time is too often of course.

Hi Marty~  There is absolutely no excuse for a home to be left unlocked after being shown by a agent.  And if it is left open, that very sam e agent should have to go back and lock it.  Then maybe they won't let it happen again!

The lock is not there for you.

It's for the safety of the client. His home and his personal belongings.

One time a clients door is left open is one time too often.  And than not just one door but two!  And messed with the safe!  Geeze.
