This is a follow-up to the previous post “10 Worst First-Time Homebuyer Mistakes”
Now that you’ve read the “10 Worst First-Time Homebuyer Mistakes” let’s look at it from a different vantage point. The above items are all referenced to mostly buying an existing home. Now let’s compare the same 10 items as if you were to BUILD A HOME;
1.Not Knowing What You Can Afford:

If you are like most people, you think the real value is in the existing market, and if that’s the case, like most people you are wrong. 2.Skipping Mortgage Qualification:
When you are looking for a hose to buy there are a lot of steps you should take and a lot of times the destination of your steps might be far apart from each other. When you build every step is synchronized, not only are you getting a home exactly how you envision it, but we will also make sure that the only thing you have to worry about is picking out the wall color. We have been working with the “one time close, land and home package” loans. As a part of our “easy 6 step process” we look out for you more than most professionals would. It is in our best interest to make sure you get the lowest rates and closing costs, so we work directly with your lender or ours to make sure there is no “funny-business”. While you are in the construction stage, we will make the first four payments of your loan, in most cases that means you will not be making a mortgage payment until your home is move-in ready.
3.Failing to Consider Additional Expenses:
Here is more good news; with us the” contract price” is actually the Contract Price, meaning unlike other companies we will honor the price even if: the lot requires additional work and material after the foundation is dug, the driveway is longer than standard, you want to change the colors of the home, etc. We will honor the contract price and we will put that in writing.
