A child looks up crying as her mother stands in a queue for relief goods at Kamrangirchar in Dhaka.

Five children of a family sleep on the pavement near Curzon Hall of Dhaka University in the capital yesterday as their parents left them in search of food. The family recently took refuge in the capital after their home in Bagirpara, Mymensingh was washed away during the flood. Many made destitute by the floods are now crowding towns and cities looking for work.

May God have mercy on them, the innocent.  It saddens my heart to think of all of these beautiful people who are having to suffer.

Masud,

We all think things get bad for us from time to time, but we have no idea what the experiences you write about in your blog are like - not at all.  We can not even imagine.

May we all use your message to become closer to the God who created us all and thank Him for all of our blessings, and ask Him to relieve the suffering of innocent people everywhere.

Masud, such a powerful reminder of how blessed we really are and to keep those suffering in our heart and pray for relief.

Thank you for sharing.
