To kick off our 365 Things To Do In Hot Springs, it is only fitting to start out by sharing the magic of Hot Springs, with some information on the "Hot Springs"! GETTING INTO HOTWATER! This is what gave Hot Springs the honor of being named the First National Park in the United States. People have used these hot springs for more than two hundred years to treat illnesses and to relax. Both rich and poor came for the baths, and a town built up around the Hot Springs Reservation to accommodate them. Strolling Bathhouse Row and the Grand Promenade, within the National Historic Landmark District, provide a picturesque place to stroll and enjoy the elegance of a bygone time. Summer guided tours (through Aug. 7): Discovering the Waters tours share the geology of the hot spring water and how it has been used over the years. Daily at 1:15, 2:15, 3:15 p.m. Bathhouse Row Insider's tours visit the hot springs as well as take you inside several of the bathhouses that are available for leasing. Daily at 3 p.m.
