Dining in Downtown Battle Creek, Michigan

One way or another, I seem to find myself in downtown Battle Creek a lot.  People are always asking me about dining in downtown Battle Creek, Michigan.  Where are some of the best places to go dining in downtown Battle Creek, Michigan? 

One of my local favorites is the Griffin Pub.  It is a German style restaurant with an American taste, and it is a hotspot for dining in downtown Battle Creek.  It is great for lunch or dinner, and they have a lot local beers on tap. 

Another favorite is the BC Bistro, which is a few doors down from the Griffin.  Talk about ‘Dining in downtown Battle Creek'!  You have not lived until you have had one of the many exotic sandwiches offered at the BC Bistro!  Oh boy, are they good!  It is also a great place to take a business colleague or guest for lunch. 

One cannot talk about dining in downtown Battle Creek without mentioning the Arcadia Brewing Company.  They not only brew their own beer right at the restaurant, but they serve the most mouth watering brick oven pizza's you could ever ask for!  I am not talking about delivery cookie cutter pizza here; I am talking about great tasting fresh brick oven pizza.  Dining in downtown Battle Creek is a new experience at the Arcadia Brewing Company. 

Dining in downtown Battle Creek cannot be discussed in complete, without a mention of the popular cafeteria style lunch and dinner restaurant is the long standing Shrank's restaurant.  A popular place for the best desserts and fresh food from the kitchen style cafeteria ‘grab your tray and choose your lunch as you move on down the aisle' eating you could ask for!  Shrank's Cafeteria is a good, yet simple, place for lunch. 

Then of course, no article would be complete about ‘Dining in downtown Battle Creek, Michigan' which does not include Clara's on the River.  Clara's is a great mix of cuisines and there is something for every palate.  They are located in the old train station, which is right on the river! 

You can dine inside and admire their wonderful woodwork, and during the winter time sit by a cozy fire place that covers a whole wall.  During the summer time, dine outside on the cobblestone pavillion and enjoy the weather, with a great view of the river under the shade trees.

As a local Realtor, I often have clients that come in from out of town, and I typically refer them to the downtown area if we are close by.
