The Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce and the City of Nashua are hosting a Back to School celebration!
WHEN: Thursday, August 26th
TIME: 5:00 to 6:30 P.M.
WHERE: Nashua Public Library Library - 2 Court Street, Nashua, NH
Parents and children are encouraged to attend the Nashua Back to School Event. In addition to free school supplies, there will be refreshments, games, door prizes, a chance to get a library card and the opportunity to meet Mayor Donnalee Lozeau and Nashua School District Superintendent Mark Conrad.
More than 1500 attended this celebration last year!
- School supplies will be handed out to children - from first grade through high school
- Principals and teachers from Nashua's public and private schools will be on hand to welcome the kids and answer questions.
- The Health Department will provide free immunizations. Parents should bring a copy of their child's immunization record so it can be updated. Vision screenings will be offered by the Gate City Lions Club. A parent or guardian has to be present or provide written permission for immunizations and the vision screening.
Donations can include:
- pencils, pens, erasers, calculators, notebooks, pencil bags, index cards, scissors, notebook paper, clips, backpacks, dictionaries, or anything that will make returning to school an exciting experience.
- Recycle extra pads of paper, post-its, pens, rulers, backpacks etc.

Recycle those old lunch boxes, backpacks , binders, pencils, pens, book covers and other other items that a kid can use. Kids in Nashua need your donation!
The rate of children living in poverty in New Hampshire has gone up by 50 percent over the last 8 years. Our kids' education is important to insure a vibrant New Hampshire.
