The pros and cons of Technology
Sometimes we can get completely overwhelmed with the new gadgets coming out the new software that is out there. We have not even begun to use the features of the new toy and we are ready to take on a new one. I think technology can be addiction forming.
I think that any of us spends a whole day with the computer and the cell phone off and we will feel as if our whole world came to an end.
We get caught up in the presentation of things at times and forget about functionality. We can use Outlook for contact and time management but we get sold on Top P. or Act, etc.. or other products out there that we are going to pay big bucks for and use just as little. You might just give what you have a fair try, before you go out and shop.
On the other hand it can make our lives more productive, the only thing we have to do is tell the computer or PDA to remember things for us and we are set.
What I miss the most was cuddling and reading a book, now my Nano takes that spot and reads to me anything I want and in any language I choose.
The important thing about technology is to choose your toys wisely, shop around and try to use all of the resources they have to offer. And remember that you own the gadgets they do not own you.
