Oxmoor Ridge is one of only a few New Home Communities inside the Birmingham City limits. They were featured by ABC 33/40 Ebony Hall tonight.
The segment started with Ebony explaining "The tread of people moving out of the city seemed to be slowing down." She said that efforts to get more people to move in to the Birmingham area (city limits) continues especial in the Oxmoor Valley area she said that the promise of new homes and a new K-8 school could in fact change the way most people look at Birmingham.
In her interview of Price Hightower the owner/builder for Tower Development, Inc made justifiable claims that Oxmoor Ridge a new home community inside the city limits of Birmingham was in fact one of the nicest areas to live. He has plans to build 245 more homes and they are offered at a great price without cutting corners. Their homes feature all brick, granite counter tops and even play ground areas.
Mr. Hightower went on to say that of the 75 building permits pulled in the City of Birmingham, last year he estimated that 60 of them were done by his company. I have never personally meet Price Hightower but from the underlining information I heard I have come to a conclusion that with a strong business plan, a faith in your community, and willingness to put quality before profits anyone can make it in a down economy.
Mr. Hightower if by chance you run across this blog I salute you and your efforts to bring Birmingham back to greatness and if I may be of any assistance to you in any of your future projects please do give me a call.
