Great Falls Balloon Festival 2010 August 20 – 22!
Yes, it is that time again. Lewiston and Auburn Maine will host the annual Great Falls Balloon Festival for all to enjoy. This is a special time for our area when our breathtaking views of the hills and river have the added decoration of scores of beautiful hot air balloons. On occasion a few residents have been able to entice the balloon crews to land in their yards where they produce the traditional bottle of champagne!
August 20, 2010 - August 22, 2010
Due to weather conditions, the best times for balloon launches are 6am and 6pm. Don't miss the “Breakfast with Balloons” Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 6am.
Times may need to vary depending on the conditions, but the popular Moon Glow (balloons tethered and lit up will occur each evening at Simard-Payne Memorial Park at nightfall.
