Besides delicious locally grown food and flowers, there will be live music this Wednesday afternoon

The popular Don Meyer returns to the market this week. Don is a Canadian born singer/songwriter who has been performing throughout the Philadelphia area for many years. Along with his own material, he performs songs written and performed by John Denver, Gordon Lightfoot, Fleetwood Mac, Bruce Cochburn, James Taylor, Jackson Browne, and many more.  Don has published his own CDs - "Never Look Back" and "Exception to the Rule."

 What you can expect this week from the local participating farmers:

Southeastern PA buy local

Schaeffer's Flowers - large and small bouquets

North Star Orchard - plums, apples peaches and pears

My House Cookies - fruit pies, large and small quiches 

Blueberry Hill Farm - potatoes, tomatoes, zucchini, eggplant, pickles

Backyard Bison - American buffalo meat cuts

Great Harvest Bread Company - whole grain and specialty breads and muffins from scratch

and there's more to come...

Sweet corn and tomatoes; the two best tasting home grown veggies! When I'm in Lancaster County, I always stop in at this one Amish food stand. Sometimes they even have freshly made cheese. Yummm
