Cool Tool That's Easy To Use

By
Real Estate Agent with Westcott Group Real Estate Company

Do you ever take pictures with your digital camera and have the pictures come out so big that they are difficult to use?  You have to then figure out how to get the pictures smaller and it becomes time spent that could have been used to do something productive.

If you read my blogs, you know that I like to add photos and graphics as much as possible.  I've always found reducing digital camera photos a nuisance to reduce, and if you use the setting for low resolution pictures so that they can be e-mailed, they don't look as good if you'd like to make reprints.

Here is the solution that you've been waiting for.  It's easy to use and it's FREE!  These are the two features that everyone loves.

Click here to go to ShrinkPictures.com.  Scroll towards the bottom of the page.  Follow the 5 simple steps and you can turn this picture.....

Into this picture....

This process took less than 30 seconds.

By the way, you can also use the technology to shrink pictures into avatars as well.

Another free image resizer is called irfanview.  That's what many of the auctioneers around the country use when taking photos for their personal property auctions and need to resize them for an online catalog.  It will reduce the image size way down and still display very well.

KEVIN:  Thanks for your comments.  I never even thought about using it to resize graphics, but that's a great idea.  If I decide to do anything like that, and have any trouble, I'll check in with you.  Thanks again for commenting.

I like the site. I currently use a generic photo touch-up site that is slow and doesn't do a great job.

I'll give it a try!

I had trouble resizing pictures for a long time.  I tried different things that I didn't like.  Now i am using a free download from microsoft.  I am very happy with the ease it gives me.

VICKY:  Thanks for your comment.  It seems like many of us have had this problem at one time or another.  You and some others have found a solution, which is great.  Many others had nothing that they were using and this has really helped, which was my goal in posting it.  I'm glad that there is something out there though, because it was getting annoying trying to work around this problem.

This is just what I need!  Thank you.  If you haven't already, you should post this tool to the "freebies" group!

What would you tell a novice about selecting a new size for the photo?

Avatar... whats an avatar?

MARGARET:  Thanks for your comments.  I will post it to "Freebies" when I get a chance.  Thanks for the tip.  I've basically been using the default settings that they have already established and it has worked great for blogging and e-mail purposes.  An avatar is something that people have on various websites that is basically a photo that appears whenever they make comments.  They are very small images.  It's not something that I use, but I figured that I would mention it in case anyone was interested.  Thanks again for your comments, Margaret.

Thanks again for the very helpful post. Cheers!
