Tot Lot Park Kirkland Washington
In the middle of a neighborhood, in the middle of the block, is this delightful little park called Tot Lot Park.
It is well named. The size is .52 acre, including the Pea Patch right next to it. It is perfect for tots.
The perimeter is entirely fenced, with chain link fence supplementing the three rail log fence. While you are here you can relax with your
children, knowing they can’t run out into the street. It is flat and square so you can see them at all times and little toddlers won’t fall down a steep incline.

When you come in the gate there are two picnic tables, a large and a small. Over to your right is a most delightful sand area. Cement ring around it, enough sand to make a little mountain, and appropriate
In another area is a low profile cement turtle, perfect for a toddler to climb on. It is in wood chips and surrounded by a cement ring as well.
Off by itself is a truck made of pipes. Easy to get into, easy to climb. Genius!
The main play area consists of two slides (toddler sized), an easy climbing ramp and an easy tunnel slide.
Behind that are the swings. There are only three swings. One infant, one toddler and one regular sized.
There are several more picnic tables around, plus a park bench or two.
For your slightly older preschool child who is getting bored, is the “big” slide. It is very gentle, with three areas that level out.
I could envision many happy hours in this park with very young children. I imagine when they get old enough to want more challenging play toys they could leave this park with a certain amount of nostalgia. Parents too!
This is a safe and easy place to bring and watch young children. Appropriately called - The Tot Lot.
