August 2010 events at the Franco-American Heritage Center in Lewiston Maine.
If you have not yet visited Lewiston's Franco-American Heritage Center, you will want to make a point of stopping by. The beauty of the building alone is worth your visit. In addition, the center offers a never ending array of cultural events for the community.
When the building, located at 46 Cedar Street in Lewiston, was no longer going to be used as a church in 2000, it was turned over to a local community group and the Franco-American Heritage Center was born. A corner stone of the community, the center provides entertainment and events in keeping with it's mission:
"The mission of the Franco-American Heritage Center is to celebrate and preserve the Franco-American heritage while welcoming the cultures of our neighbors."
Here is the schedule for August: For more details visit the Franco-American Heritage Center website.
