SANTA MONICA, CA. MARKET SUMMARY / First Half 2010 

Residential sales in Santa Monica performed well in the 2nd quarter of 2010 with a total of 161 properties in May, June, and July, exceeding the 1st quarter total of 153 properties.  

316 active listings are currently on the market in August with condominiums outnumbering single family homesfor sale by 3-to-2 

The total sales volume of condominiums remained constant in the 2nd quarter and home sales volume increased by over 10%.,  

Average prices for single family homes remained constant, but average condominium prices rose over 20% in the 2nd quarter due to stronger demand for higher end  units.
