Reakky quickly. People have been aaking why I haven't been responding to them or responsive in general lately. Needless to say, this past sunday I had one of my 4 times a years brush burn. During the burn a wind sheer came up out of nowhere and I got torched. I put my left arm up to protect my face as I dove out ofd the way. My 7 year old daughter was with me but I had her at a safe distance. I had 2nd degee burns from my hand (left hand) up to my elbow. I spent Sunday in the E.R. for 6 hours as they treated me and my pain. All day Monday I was sent to Loyola Trauma Center, the Burn Unit while they did more stuff to me. Right now it appears that I don't need to have a skin graft, but they're watching it. I'm so tired of re-explaining everything that I thought that I'd write this post, even though it's hard to type with one hand. Finally, my friends and family and Active Rainers have been awwesome. I'm either in a ton of pain oe I'm totally wasted because of the meds. I'll be fine. Thanks for all the thoughts. Hopefully this answers all the questions that folks have. I'll be back in the saddle soon!
In the meantime, I work a few hours, then nap, then work, then nap.....blah, blah, blah.
