HUD Homes for Sale in Lake Elsinore, California

Right now, as of 8-18-2010, there are three homes listed for sale on the HUD website for Riverside County with addresses in Lake Elsinore. 

Some background on how HUD homes are bought or sold in California: The company in California (and other states like Georgia and Hawaii) that sells homes for HUD (the department of Housing and Urban Development) is called HUD PEMCO.  HUD PEMCO, in turn, chooses certain of its registered brokers to be listing agents for the homes. 

HUD PEMCO then puts the HUD homes for sale in California including Riverside County on as listed for sale online for potential buyers to review and submit offers.  You can search homes by County, City, or Zip Code on the HUD website for California.    Those listings do not include a lot of information like a real estate listing on the MLS shoulld; the HUD PEMCO listing usually has only one picture, if any.  The HUD PEMCO listings do frequently have information on property condition, such as an appraisal or property report.

In addition to that listing, HUD PEMCO's listing agent also posts the home for sale on the local Multiple Listing Service.  Typically, that listing has a lot more description and pictures than HUD PEMCO's site.  You can get that info most easily by having a HUD-registered agent find it on the MLS.  Why use an agent? You're going to have to use a HUD registered agent to bid on the home anyway; you might as well have them do some work for you.
