Lenn - now I'm dreaming getting on a boat cruising up and down the Potomac River and then having dinner at Tim's Rivershore Restaurant.

Lenn...I love boats and the water, but of course have never owned one. Since I don't swim (Mom never taught me and I tried to learn in college...) kinda silly to have one. I once almost bought a lot on a lake and decided against it. It was $40,000. The same lot today sells for $350,000!!

Boating is such a great thing to have in a community!

BTW, what does the VRE stand for on the map? I'm thinking a train line?

Bob.  Indeed, fun and refreshing.

Thom.  VRE is the Virginia Railway Express, a rail alternative to traffic gridlock.  I love boating but only for the purpose of getting to the fishing areas.

Petra. It's on my schedule for September when the days are a tad cooler and the fish are biting in the creek.

Gerry.  You bet and it's an easy reach from my home.

Evelyn.  Me too.  Good seafood is my only alternative to good veggies and fruits.

Having a covered marina is great. I've never seen any around here. People who can afford it will dry dock when boating season has ended.

Jackie.  We don't have many marinas with covered boat slips but I know of a few.  They are always well used.

Lenn...This is so different from the small lakes I have in my Minnesota surroundings.  Very few marina's in my area.  Some in the southern part of the state, but Northern part most have private docks.

William.  Private docs are fine for waterfront home owners, but what of the many folks who have boats but no waterfront?

Have never seen covered boatslips of the roof design you show.  Everything on my lake is governed by the Corps of Engineers.  Am curious - do you know what the annual fees would be to lease one?

Thanx

Barbara-Jo.  Let's hope so.

Joan.  The fees are complicated because there is the slip fee, then a per foot fee (boat), an more.  I'll post a breakdown.
